If existing conduits, waterways, and bridges do not perform as expected due to aging, or if safety is not ensured due to changes in surrounding conditions, existing structures will be demolished and re-installed or rehabilitation. The existing repair and rebuilding method had a method of assembling reinforcing bars inside, installing concrete formwork and curing or installing precast concrete inside. However, the internal work space is narrow and there is a high possibility of safety accidents. In terms of quality control and construction supervision, actual quality and process control are not easy.

In addition, in the case of cast -in place method, it is impossible to pass the inside of the existing passenger due to the installation of the formwork, which causes civil complaints and the construction period takes a long time and unexpected additional costs arise due to frequent conflicts between the client and the contractor.

Solution

A method of repairing and reinforcing a structure using a CSS is as follows: After securing a space for mounting a steel plate in a conventional structure, a sheet of CSS is assembled from the inside or a CSS is assembled from outside. Use a mechanical device to push in.

The space between the CSS and the existing structure is filled with concrete in the backside of the CSS plate using the “grout socket” manufactured by the factory. Since CSS are used inside to reinforce the existing structures, it is possible to prevent the passage disconnection that may occur when the existing structure is demolished, and to secure safety and reduce the additional cost due to the shortening of the construction period.
